Birds of paradise yoga

The more people who practice yoga, the better we all are. Love this cl! I have been a student at Bird of Paradise Yoga for 5 years now and have found it to be an amazing experience. On your left, take a big step back with your right leg, moving your about six inches apart so you’re in parallel stance Y-T-W. Adjacent to the beach are two excellent restaurants that serve delicious local food and provide great service: Nautilus Beach Resort Restaurant (with wifi) is open from 8am-8pm daily and offers chicken, beef or seafood dishes for $5-$7 USD . They also offer a variety of pizzas from $1-$2 USD each as well as drinks (sodas & beer). We think that our best teachers bring these qualities in spades. Bird of paradise yoga pose meaning

The Scientific name for this fruit is Strelitzia reginae and it’s native to South Africa. It’s a iduous plant meaning it loses its leaves at the end of each growing season and new leaves grow back in spring. The Bird of Paradise has an unusual flower with five purple petals surrounding yellow stamens which extend out into a large ‘fan’ shape like wings around the central column – thus, creating the illusion of a bird in flight or perching on top of a tree nch. In yoga we use this pose as our peak pose because it represents coming home – taking rest from all your busyness, being still, opening up to receive good things into your life. There are so many Yogic applications for this pose: Connecting with yourself and connecting with gratitude for what you have
If you are tired or stressed consider practicing Bird Pose at night before bed as part of your evening routine before turning out all lights (there is something about darkness that helps us become more present). This will help you let go and fall asleep peacey without worrying about tomorrow’s tasks
Connecting with God/Goddess/Higher Power (whatever you call Him) by feeling grounded & connected through His creation (earth) while being open to receiving blessings from above You may feel that this pose looks easy but once you try it, you will quickly see how challenging it can be! I remember when I first learned bird pose my teacher told me if I couldn’t take my thigh all the way up then I wasn’t ready to practice yet.* So be patient and give yourself time! Start by finding a wall or chair behind where your standing leg will eventually be placed so that when practicing anst resistance (inhale)you can place one hand on wall/chair as pictured above right* Once ready begin inhaling by lifting arms overhead keeping shoulders relaxed; simply find length in spine as if reaching towards ceiling Bring active fingertips together behind neck & continue breathing slowly releasing through mouth While still inhaling slowly lower opposite knee allowing.
